Already June, some of you might think…Indeed it is June! A month full op special occasions, with Mother’s Day coming up and of course the Luxembourg National Holiday! Enough excuses to get out and celebrate, enjoy the company of family and friends and maybe also some more of that sunshine we had last weekend! Culture wise June also has quite a bit to offer, so there should be something for every taste!

01.06. – 18.06. My Urban Piano

This year again the City Centre will be decorated with pianos for 2 weeks. Decorated might not be the right word though, you are invited to use the pianos, play them, film people playing and spreading music around the city and beyond! So, find one of the 21 pianos and play away! More info can be found on here

03.-04.06. – “Koll an Aktioun” Festival

The 4th edition of the Festival “Koll an Aktioun” promises a program to satisfy everyone’s desires. This festival for the whole family hosts workshops, a market with artisanal products, food, drink and of course a great selection of concerts. Be sure not to miss the Koll an Aktioun and the rather unique location on the former slate production site in Haut-Martelange.

16.06. – Live Film Concert « Hip Hop meets Laurel & Hardy »

Surprised by the combo of Hip Hop and films by the comedy duo Laurel & Hardy? Well, the “Hip Hop meets Laurel & Hardy” sure is one not to miss! 2 silent movies from Laurel & Hardy are accompanied by a hip hop orchestra, formed around Luxembourg artisits Cehashi, Nikkei K. and Headmaste & 8Cee. Be ready for some fine drum computer, turntable and instrument sounds and a good laugh!

17.06. – Music Festival “Fête de la Musique”

The “Fête de la Musique” equals Luxembourg in concert! There will be music in the 4 corners of the country and innumerable concerts of various bands and music genres. Just join in and enjoy some great tunes for free. Discover the entire program here.

22.06. / 23.06. – National Holiday

It’s that time of the year again – Luxembourg National Holiday! But don’t be deceived, the actual party takes place on the night of the 22nd. So, make sure to go to the City Centre for the fireworks, but of course also the atmosphere of innumerable people celebrating a big outdoor party! Find the entire program here.

23.06. Festival for Kids “Spillfest op der Kinnekswiss”

After a night of partying, I promise that the country will be sleeping all day on June 23rd. The perfect time to pack up your kids and join the “Spillfest op der Kinnekswiss” in the City. There will be various workshops to enhance your kids’ senses, organised by different associations.

29.06. Bee Trail

Did you know that bees can also live in the city? Find out more by joining the “Bee Trail”, a 2,3 km long guided tour focusing on bees, their habitat and the biodiversity in an urban environment, all in the middle of Luxembourg City.
