What to do in July
Summer in Luxembourg
July, the month in which traffic gets lighter, skin gets darker and life gets better. Summer in Luxembourg! :) If you are not amongst those who leave the country we have selected a few events that might be interesting for you.
Until 15/07 PUBLIC VIEWING FIFA WORLD CUP
Let’s start with, you might have guessed, football! The world cup will come to an end on 15th of July so, until then, you will have many opportunities to go to a public viewing and enjoy the atmosphere of people coming together, celebrating their favorite teams. In Luxembourg city, the public viewing screens can be found on the Glacis but we are sure that also smaller cities like Esch-sur-Alzette, Ettelbrück/Dierkirch or Wiltz, will offer screens to follow the more advanced games - just check out their websites or call their tourist offices.
27/06 - 30/07: FESTIVAL DE WILTZ
There is probably no other venue in all of Luxembourg as classy and versatile as the amphitheater located so picturesquely in the Wiltz Castle gardens. The festival will host premieres and new crossover productions featuring national and international artists of a variety of genres, from nouveau cirque, opera and musical to jazz, indie electronic, klezmer, and chanson. And in addition to the tasty cultural events on the menu, the festival’s food village will provide a range of culinary delicacies to delight your palate. More info, program & tickets here.
30/06 - 12/08: CITY SKYLINER
As of end of June, the city skyliner will be parked on the Place de la Constitution and will give you the chance to not only see Luxembourg City from a whole new point of view but you can also sip on a delicious cocktail at the bar which is located right at the top of the tower, 81 meters up in the air.
