MUSEUMS x NIGHTLIFE - 2nd weekend in October

In this year’s edition, 7 museums (Casino Luxembourg, Lëtzebuerg City Museum, Mudam, Musée Dräi Eechelen, Musée National d’Histoire et d’Art, Musée National d’Histoire Naturelle and Villa Vauban) took part and opened their doors to the public from 18:30pm to 1:00am and offered a well-calculated program with different tours, music, workshops and food.

As every year, the visitors were able to use public transport for free. The schedule of the buses and the special shuttle buses were perfectly chosen for the night and offered strategic stops next to each of the museums. The shuttles were not regular shuttles but there was for example the very first bus driving in Luxembourg that was used, a Harry Potter themed bus and one iconic British style ‘Doppeldeckerbus’ which had a certain Woody Allen movie flair.

Sunny and I loved taking part in the « La Nuit des muséees » and enjoyed it‘s vibe. Here you have a little collection of memories from that night. Of course, looking at pictures is not the same as experiencing it yourself – but just take it as foretaste for next year’s edition!

What do you think about this kind of Museum Rally? Have you taken part already?
